Holy shit! This is the vilest, nastiest, hottest dram from Master of Malt I have ever tasted… and I love it!

Just kidding! This vodka is infernal! I haven’t even properly tasted it… I just had a small drop, not even a sip, to taste it. As soon as the vodka’s little drop touched my lip a burning feeling started spreading all along the mouth, the throat and the stomach.

Master of Malt’s 250,000 Scovilles Naga Chilli Vodka

Master of Malt has created a monster, summoned from the very bowels of hell, formed in a vile carboy filled with a horrid mound of Naga Jolokia chillies (the world�s hottest chillies), steeped in grain vodka. We've packaged it in a handsome, heavy glass bottle with industrial-grade sealing wire and lead security seal (with a skull and crossbones embossed on it).

To get to this bottle, you'll literally have to open it with wire cutters, but we strongly recommend you don't. In fact, this unspeakable 250,000 Scovilles vodka is a chilli vodka so horrendous we suggest you don�t even purchase it. Please just shut down your computer and have a nice cup of tea instead. Try to forget what you saw.

This dram has a gold-like color.

Nose (65): weak. green chilli, citrus, alcohol. Not sure I want to taste this...

Palate (30): powerful. sweet, hot, hot, WTF! Mother of God! Arrgghhh! Arrrgggahh! Water! Water! WAAAATTTEEERR!.

Finish (0): no finish. finish?! Finish! what finish? It killed my tasting buds for hours!.

So based on other whiskies I have already tasted I rate this 250,000 Scovilles - Naga Chilli Vodka 50cl with 32 points over 100.

So how this infernal beverage is best used?! Master of Malt discourages using it as a joke… umm… I am going to be really popular in the next party as the “guy that dropped something in my drink” :D

This stuff, just a few drops of it, can turn a Bloody Mary in a hot infernally delicious stuff. I will give a try and tell you.

By the way… they infused the vodka using those motherfu***… they don’t look so dangerous.

Today I am tasting a new different thing. It is a cherry infused whisky with a twist: DYC is using Spanish blended whisky to create this liquor. The first of its kind on the spanish market.

Against all the advices I decided to taste DYC Red One straight, although the brand really recommends it as a mixing drink.

“For academical purposes tasting. Really recommended for mixing, works great with a Coca Cola and ice”

DYC has created a cherry infused Spanish blended whisky targeting a youngsters market.

If you like cherry-like drinks this liquor is really smooth and pleasant.

This dram has a gold-like color.

Nose (81): more than average. cherry,honey, floral.

Palate (79): light, smooth. cherry, vanilla, citrus, honey, bubblegum.

Finish (75): very short. cherry, citrus.

So based on other whiskies I have already tasted I rate this DYC Red One with 78 points over 100.

Don’t be fooled by the tasting score. This kind of beverages is best enjoyed with mixers.

So how this is expected to be drunk? Like we do it! This is Spain!

I was walking during my holidays when I saw this very nice bottle on a shop for just 19�, around £16, so I thought what the hell, let’s buy it.
And here I am reviewing it for you.

70cl / 40% - A dark spiced Caribbean rum introduced to the UK in Spring 2010, Kraken's old-style bottle and superlative packaging seem to earmark it out for greatness, and perhaps it will help some of those many thousands of punters nursing an old-recipe-Sailor-Jerry-sized hole in their hearts.

This dram has a treacle-like color.

Nose (82): more than average. sugar cane, vanilla, citrus, cinnamon, nutmeg.

Palate (87): smooth, oily. sugar cane, brown sugar, nutmeg, candies, coca cola, spices, cinnamon.

Finish (85): longer than average. sugar cane, brown sugar, spices, burnt sugar.

So based on other whiskies I have already tasted I rate this Kraken Black Spiced Rum with 85 points over 100.

Tasting in honor of Laphroaig Live 2012, five proposed whiskies. I have all of them but Ardmore so I will taste three Laphroaigs and Connemara.

I missed the online event for a matter of hours so I sorted the whiskies as I though it could be best. I think that the drams has been sorted slightly different on the online tasting with Connemara and Ardmore being tasted in last place.
