An unbelievably good single cask Caol Ila that was so good we put our name on it! This was distilled in 1980 and aged in a single refill hogshead before bottling in 2010. A release of just 154 bottles at natural cask strength – non chill-filtered of course!
Nose (22): Sweet, fruit, peat, wood, eucalyptus. With water, sweet, peat, wood, eucalyptus and spices.
Taste (24): Sweet, floral, fruity, violets, eucalyptus and peat. With water, sweet, floral, wood and peat.
Finish (23): Peat and eucalyptus. With water eucalyptus and violets.
Balance (24): Cool cask.
