Karuizawa Whisky Distillery

Karuizawa Distillery was established in 1956 to the north west of Tokyo, Japan but closed in 2001. Karuizawa Distillery sat at an altitude of 850m on the foothills of the active volcano Mount Asama and drew its water from the mountain’s slopes.

Fortunatelly Number One drinks bought the whole stock of Karuizawa whisky, saved it of being blended in other whiskies and is releasing it as a cask strength, single cask most of times, single malt.
