Inspired by 2013's Shackleton Epic expedition, retracing the steps of Sir Ernest and crew during part of their Endurance expedition, Richard Paterson has taken the base of the first blend and made the finished product even more refined.

    “What a cracking whisky! It is a pity that the high price tag doesnt' make it a viable option... but given the price of whisky nowadays... it doesn't look so mad”
    This dram has a amber-like color.

    Nose (92): more than average. honey, peat, spices, toffee, vanilla, citrus, salt, earth, plums. Quite a nose! Very nice.

    Taste (93): powerful, oily. peat, honey, salt, citrus, spices, pepper, cinnamom, cocoa, pears, liquorice.

    Finish (92): longer than average. peat, earth, spices.
