Created as one-time releases, the PC series allows for a fascinating comparison in the development of this single malt, building toward a final expression in several years. Port Charlotte PC7 is a youthful, assertive, yet increasingly mature and complex dram. The aromas are distinctively Islay, with abundant peat smoke, mint, thyme, moss, and pine. The palate is just as peaty and smoky, but introduces notes of molasses, dates, and bittersweet chocolate.
