Combier's Roi Rene Rouge Cherry Liqueur is made to a 1632 recipe developed by a local nun– Reverend Mother Gautron of the Benedictine Abbey of Saumur. Made using a combination of French guigne and English morello cherries, this is not overly syrupy.
