A 2009 vintage Chichibu aged in port pipes. These are the largest casks used in the ageing of whisky and hold an impressive 550 litres in volume. Chichibu distillery was opened by Ichiro Akuto in 2008 and already has a reputation for releasing delicious young whiskies.

“Quite fruity and sweet... much like a Creme Brulee ala whisky”This dram has a amber-like color.
Nose (89): more than average. pastry, creme brulee, honey, citrus, spices.
Taste (88): powerful, oily. honey, peaches, tropical fruits, mango, spices.
Finish (89): longer than average. honey, spices, floral.
