A bottle of Chateau Gruaud Larose 1993. A second growth in the 1855 Bordeaux classification, prices are kept reasonable due to the fact that Robert Parker does not score the wine, allegedly as the winery dog bit him on a previous visit. 1993 was a notoriously wet year, but where the grapes were treated well, as they were here, the wines are elegant and soft rather than being diluted.
