Matured in first fill Sherry hogsheads, this full bodied single malt is a powerful presentation of Sherry matured Speysider. Tasting notes: Without water Nose: Sweet, rich fruit aromas - ripe apples and pears. Smoky - burnt wood notes together with a dry spicy edge - liquorice and aniseed. Palate: Rich fruit and spices, resinous with cream sherry flavours. Smoky, okay notes also present which slowly dry the palate. With water Nose: Burnt sugar, treacle notes evident with floral aromas (lavender and wax polish). Sherry wood and mulled fruits in the background. Palate: Toasted, malty flavours initially with fruit and sherry wood following. A subtle smokiness and a hint of pot pourri. Body: Rich Finish: Sherry and a touch of peat smoke Colour: Rich Cask Type : First Fill Sherry Hogsheads
