A 16 year old Bladnoch, distilled in 1992, matured initially in bourbon barrels before a finish in Amarone Italian red wine casks. Bottled in 2008 at the Bruichladdich distillery, with Islay spring water. A release of 2,500 bottles.

This dram has a amber-like color.

Nose (87): more than average. toffee, malt, floral, citrus, a little oranges.

Palate (89): powerful, oily. floral, honey, spices, vanilla, wood, citrus.

Finish (87): longer than average. floral, sweet, wood, citrus.

So based on other whiskies I have already tasted I rate this Bladnoch 16 year 1992 Murray McDavid with 88 points over 100.
